Growing your hair

Having trouble growing your hair? Well, there’s a not so secret product that works wonders and that is coconut oil.

Coconut oil moisturises dry hair and stimulates hair growth by getting deep into the hair follicles. It keeps the scalp healthy and dandruff at bay. Coconut oil prevents breakage and slows down hair loss and also adds shine and softness. So you can’t go wrong really.

screenshot-2016-10-28-14-00-52

Step one – Pour 1 cup of hot water into a small bowl.

Step two – Place 2 TSP of pure coconut oil into a glass cup

Step three – Place the cup containing the oil into the bowl of hot water

Step four – Apply the oil evenly over you hair both roots and ends.

Step five – Massage in for 30 seconds to a minute

Step six – Comb through your hair with a wide tooth comb

Step seven – Leave it on for up to 30 minutes depending on how damaged you hair is

Step eight – Shampoo out. Don’t recondition!

Additional Step – If your hair is very bad then you can add a small amount to the ends of you hair before drying it.

You should do this once to twice a week, again depending on how damaged your hair is.

Simply by using this treatment it will stop your hair being damaged therefore allowing it to grow. Using this hair treatment also leaves your hair smelling amazing too!

All about Disney ADR’s

If you’re a Disney fan or visit Disney World often then you probably don’t really need to know this. To be honest I learnt all of this from my first trip without adult’s (I was the adult). If you are planning your first trip or just want to know for the plan hell of it then continue reading, and maybe take notes?  So, lets get started!

What is an ADR? ADR stands for Advanced Dining Reservation and at this point you’re probably thinking, ‘well I know how to reserve a table’ but the question is do you know how to book a table at Disney World?

ADR’s are only required for table service, character dining and buffet dining, if its breakfast, lunch or diner. They are NOT require for quick service.

ADR’s are not actually ‘true’ to the reservation times that you select. Yes, you guarantee that you will be seated but it will be at the first table available after you check in at the host point. This can be anything from a couple of minutes up to half an hour, its very rare that it goes past the half hour mark though so don’t worry too much. Disney advise that you arrive about 15 minutes before your reservation time. Don’t try and turn up half an hour before your reservation time to get in dead on your reservation time because it just won’t work.

You don’t always need an ADR but it is highly advised as places get full very quickly and you risk being turned away.

When can you book ADR’s? If you are staying on site you can book all of your ADR’s 180 days in advance of your arrival. SO if you are staying for 14 days you can book all 14 table service reservations 180 days before you arrive. If you are staying off property you can also book 180 days in advance but you will have to do each day at a time.

My advice is to take full advantage of the 180 period because the slots disappear fast! I normally go on the website and have a look at whats about and scroll through the menu’s, then I decided where we will eat and on which day so I know on the 180 days in advance I can get them all done and 99.9% of the time I get everything I want.

Dining ADRs can be made from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m seven days a week

There is no limit on how many reservations you make for one day, well I guess there is because you can only fit a certain amount in a day. You cannot over lap reservations though. Disney allocate you a time slot in which you can’t make another reservation.

I would advise that you do make a plan because it can be annoying when people book 3 reservations for one day and only end up using 1. It stops other people from booking those reservations and it could be a must do on their trip.

How do I book an ADR? You can make reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) or alternatively you can do it the more fun way, the way I do it and that is through the My Disney Experience App. It’s completely free, all you have to do is download the app and make a free account.

Once you have linked your ticked you can go to the reservations section and follow it day by day! This app if fantastic for any Disney Trip I will probably do a post just about My Disney Experience because there is loads to do on it.

You can alter your reservations as much as you like up until the night before assuming that the changes you want to make are still available.

Does this cost any extra? It doesn’t cost anything extra it is all included in your ticket but if you do not turn up for a reservation they will charge you. I think it is $20 a head, I may be wrong on that but I’m pretty sure that is what the cost was.

Oh one last thing! If you don’t get a reservation you wanted do keep checking because someone may cancel one. The best time to look if you didn’t get one on the 180 day mark is the night before you want to go because so many people book 2 or 3 and then cancel the ones they don’t want last minute. So thats a good little tip!

Thanks for reading guys! Feel free to add anything extra that you can think of in the comments below.

LUSH Northern Lights Review

A new and ‘improved’ northern lights is back this christmas at LUSH. If you remember the  Northern lights from previous then you will remember how every one complained that it the stick shaped bath bomb was broken by the time they had got it home. Well, LUSH has brought it back in a chunkier pill shape bath bomb.

Now I like to be honest in my reviews and there are going to be some things that just aren’t for me. This is one of those things.

Screenshot 2016-10-17 19.20.46.png

I like the improvement on the size and shape and I really like the colours that it creates. The scent of this is beautiful, with Ylang Ylang oil and the floral hint of Jasmine Absolute really does make it wonderful. Not for long though as the scent disappears very very fast.

Screenshot 2016-10-17 19.20.58.png

It’s an extremely fast fizzer and it was over in a few seconds. The colours really were beautiful to look at but the pinky/purple colour stained my skin and I struggled to get it off.

I don’t really have a load to say about this bath bomb. I was really hopeful that it would be one of the better christmas ones but for me it just wasn’t.

Where to eat in Disney World…(interactive)

When you read this post I will have 202 days till my Disney World trip!!! OH MY GOODNESS!

When visiting Disney World one of the more amazing things is the FOOD! The Mickey shaped food, dole whip and CRONUTS! I actually think that cronuts are the best thing I have ever eaten in my life but unfortunately you can’t live off of them (as much as id like to).

img_0883

So we will need to have proper meals and Disney World offers some incredible restaurants. There really is something for everyone, from character dining, to themed restaurants or for something a little more formal they have load of fine dining experiences to choose from.

If you don’t know already Disney do something called ADR (advanced dining reservations), this allows you to book a table up to 180 before you trip and trust me you will need to book! As you can expect Disney restaurants book up very fast.

I have 22 Days till I can book my reservations and I want your help! It is tradition for us to go to Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom for breakfast on our first day but the rest of our trip we are super indecisive on where to go so I want you to head over to my twitter where there will be a poll every 3/4 days for you to pick the restaurant that we should go to.

Follow me on Twitter @eleana_jane to keep up to date with each poll and the results!

First up this week is the vote for our second table service meal of the trip that will be at Disney Springs.

The choices are:

T-Rex
Raglan Road
Wolfgang puck Grand Cafe
Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming

but remember guys you have to vote on twitter or it won’t count!

Monster Ball LUSH Review

Guess who’s back! Back again! Eleana’s back! Tell a friend!….Oh dear Eleana is the least gangster name going but do tell your friends!

Hello Guys! I am back with my second Halloween LUSH review, this time we are looking at Monsters’ Ball and I know I say this every time but…this is by far my favourite. I mean it this time!

2016092617074741191_sbig

Just look at this little fella! He kind of reminds me of a pink version of Mick Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Any one else think that? His eye is actually made from vegan white chocolate but its probably best still not to eat it.

Right lets get on with this review!…I said in my review of Autumn Leaf that I really enjoyed that is was a Autumn/Halloween bath bomb that wasn’t a ‘scary’, character, monster style product and I do stick by my word. It was refreshing but Halloween IS about those things and lets be honest this little guy isn’t scary his kind of cute. He smells incredible too. It holds the same scent as the calacas product family. Does anyone remember The Enchanter from 2015? Well, it’s the same scent as that. So this not necessarily a new product as much as it is a new design, a ‘revamp’ if you will.

screenshot-2016-10-08-12-16-28

Filled with lime and neroli oil (which boosts your happy hormone) this ballistic gives you a hit of zesty goodness but it still has a earthy hint to it making it perfect for the season and great for an uplifting bath. With the addition of coco butter to sooth and moisturise your skin and olibanum oil for that extra relaxation.

Monsters’ ball is a medium fizzer with pink/purple being the initial colour. As is spins and foams it releases more of the calacas scent and begins to release the blue centre. The blue, pink and purple layers swirl around the bath creating beautiful patterns. Although they aren’t very seasonal colours they are very pretty to watch dancing around the surface of the water.

screenshot-2016-10-08-12-17-47

As the colours reach the edge of the tub they start to form a pink and purple ombre. This for me personally is why this bath bomb is now one of my favourites!

I really hope that this will be brought back in the future, even if it’s not shaped like a little monster but even if the colours and formula are brought back in an ‘all year round’ ballistic. That would be amazing!

Just incase they don’t though I will be grabbing a load of these before they sell out!

Autumn and Winter Style

Today I was siting in my house absolutely freezing so I looked for something warm to put on and realised I don’t actually have many jumpers and general warm clothing. This means a shopping trip is due!

Im going to share with you 5 looks for Autumn/Winter.

winter warm.png

Jumper £10 Amazon  Jeans £92 J Brand  Hat £54 Selfridges

Bag £47 Sole Society  Nail polish £16 NARS  Lipstick £10 Witchery

This look it super casual and cute but has a little hint of Christmas with the green chunky knit sweater (which is actually mens!) matched with the red lips and nails.

Boots are always a must in winter! Plus you can wear fluffy socks and nobody will know.

The black wooly hat is a cute accessory and will also keep you warm. I always do for one with a bobble so it looks less sporty and more chic.I always go for a backpack (this one is vegan!) so I can be more hands free.

Scarf £28 Wilsons Leather    Boots £42 YOINS
Bag £1,810 Saint Laurent    Nail polish £3.16 HOTTOPIC

This outfit is perfect for people who like Halloween but don’t want to be in fancy dress.

The black and orange together screams Halloween and have you seen those tights! They are so cute but also subtle.Match with black accessories and add a scarf for additional warmth and you are ready to go!

work-it

Dress £99 John Lewis     Tights £3 Primark
Boots £131 Boomingdales   Scarf £300 Burberry
Work clothes don’t have to be all black during the colder seasons you can add colour but keep it professional. I love nudes paired with black during these seasons for a more earthy tone. Colour blocking always works wonders and looks smart. You can add a scarf for extra warmth when traveling to and from work and a printed scarf for extra style.
christmas
Dress £87 ChiChi London    Tights £3 Primark   Bag £20 ROMWE
Heels £235 Jimmy Choo    Lipstick £17 Too Faced
Palett £46 Laura Mercier
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit! It is perfect for a christmas party. Stylish enough to be out for drinks with friends but also smart enough if it’s a work party.  The dress is beautiful and a little shine from a statement bag is a must. Statement shoes are good too but only have one or the other never both! Keep your make up neutral and you will be the Belle of the Ball!
rainy-daysJumper £12 THE HUT    Leggings £8 Select    Boots £180 UGG
There is nothing worse than being cold on a rainy day, so chuck on a pair of black leggings and a big warm jumper and stay indoors! Throw on some UGG boots for that extra comfort. There is nothing wrong with keeping it simple, especially if you’re going to have a day to yourself (aka Netflix binge).

Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb

Being well into Autumn and Halloween just around the corner I realised I best start reviewing the Lush products for this season. So up first is Autumn Leaf bath bomb!

This bath bomb really appealed to me when I saw it in the store, it’s not like the standard spooky halloween products that are released. You can already see the colours that run through it before it has even touched the water. It really is a beautiful ballistic.

screenshot-2016-10-05-12-41-59

Sharing its scent with Grass Shower Gel and bubble bar this bath bomb holds a very fresh, outdoorsy, earthy scent with a combination of neroli, sandalwood and maple sap it really is calming.

Lush have really upped their game recently and the stories that their products tell are just wonderful. The story of Autumn Leaf is the colour change in leaves between Summer and Autumn.

screenshot-2016-10-05-12-50-01

Autumn Leaf is a flow fizzer and because of its shape it floats on the water keeping its shape for longer. It spills out greens, yellow, warm orange and red creating an almost ombre foam.

Over all I think this is one of the best Autumn bath bombs they have released.  I will for sure be grabbing a few of these before the end of the season and I hope it makes another appearance.
